Kakortokit se skládá z arfvedsonitu (téměř černého) nefelinického (bílého) syenitu obsahujícího sporadická červená zrna eudialytu. Vyrábí se z něj kabošony a dobře se leští.
Podobná drsná látka byla uvedena na trh jako „Lopar’s Blood“ z Aljašky.

Kakortokite consists of arfvedsonite (nearly black) nepheline (off-white) syenite, containing sporadic red eudialyte grains. It is used to make cabochons and takes a polish well. Similar rough has been marketed as “Lopar’s Blood” from Alaska.
